SUMMARY:8th Annual Everglades Day Festival
DESCRIPTION:A free fun-filled day for the entire family. People will be able to pick and choose from an all day fun-filled lineup including presentations and exhibits of live animals\, birds\, and reptiles.  This year there will be more outside nature walks including bird\, reptile\, plants\, butterflies\, a special  nature observation walk\, and a natural history walk.  There will be explanations and explorations using binoculars\, compass orientation\, photo taking\, and the use of bird scopes. We will continue with our tradition of canoeing in the Everglades. Don’t forget to check out the food and live music including folk and Brazilian tunes. There will be children's activities along with storytelling.  Janet Reno\, former U.S. Attorney General\, and Maggy Hurchalla\, former Martin County Commissioner\, will be speaking on "Lost in the Everglades" experiences from their childhood while growing up in the Everglades.
