DESCRIPTION:Computer 101 for Surfers\n\n\n\nA class designed for beginners that are familiar with the basic aspects of computer usage\, including launching desktop applications and visiting URLs via a web broswer. A maximum of five students allows each student to receive individual attention. For the first five classes\, participants will be using the tablets supplied by the instructor. In the last session\, students are encouraged to bring in their own portable device to be able to implement their knowledge easily.\n\n\n\nSession 1: Basic computer and Internet technologies\n\nSession 2: Working with email\n\nSession 3: Exploring the vast resources of the Internet\n\nSession 4: Modes of digital communication on the Internet\n\nSession 5: Staying safe on the Internet\n\nSession 6: Practicing and polishing your skills\n\nInstructor: Estee Gelman comes to us from the Greater Pittsburgh (South Hills) JCC where she provided computer classes.
