DESCRIPTION:Don't feel bad\, the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) snuck up on most businesses. In effect since January 1\, 2024\, it impacts privately held corporations\, limited partnerships\, statutory trusts\, limited liability companies\, and other similar entities. The goal of the CTA and its Beneficial Ownership Information Regulations (BOI) is to identify to the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN)\, the individuals exercising control over or having ownership of entities doing business in the U.S. This cannot be ignored\, penalties are high! A Reporting Company must (1) disclose demographic information on owners or those with substantial control\, (2) disclose the EIN/ITIN of the entity and where it is registered\, and (3) report any changes within 30 days. A Reporting Company created before January 1\, 2024\, must file no later than December 31\, 2024. New entities must report within 90 days. Don't panic - prepare!
