SUMMARY:FLSA Foundation Series (EXEMPTIONS)
DESCRIPTION:In 2012\, a record number of Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA" or "The Act") lawsuits were filed in Federal Court. As we move into 2013\, the courts remain awash in these lawsuits the majority of which are grounded in employers' misunderstanding or misapplying the fundamental elements of the Act. Misinformation and bad advice abound. Knowledge and a strong understanding of the Act are the best weapons employers can have in their arsenals to avoid those potential FLSA pitfalls that plague so many employers. \n\n	\n\n	This session's discussion will include white collar exemptions\, motor carrier and retail sales exemptions\, and other full and partial exemptions from the Act\n\n	\n\n	Join FordHarrison attorneys Christine D. Hanley and Bari L. Goldstein as they present "The FLSA Foundation Series." This course is intended for "C" level officials and managers. Attendees are eligible for Continuing Education Credits : CLE - 2 hours general\, 1.5 L&E certification\; HRCI - 1.75 hours\; CPE - 2 hours.
