DESCRIPTION:The West Palm Beach Library Foundation is holding its inaugural fundraising event on Saturday\, April 8\, 2017. The event\, "Food for Thought: An evening of great conversations"\, is unique in that notable personalities and authors will lead guests in table discussions.\n\n \n\nStaged on the fourth floor of the Mandel Library among the stacks and with commanding views of the city\, the evening will begin with an opening reception followed by an elegant catered dinner. Each table will have a host\, selected for his or her knowledge of timely subjects\, from arts and literature to food and science.  Guests will be seated at different tables according to their particular interests. The event is designed to promote a free exchange of thoughts\, ideas and feelings.\n\n \n\nConfirmed experts include:\n\nMary Simses   Best-Selling Author\n\nTim Luke   PBS Antique Roadshow Appraiser\n\nChef Lindsay Autry   Top Chef Finalist\n\nDr. Thomas Kodadek   Lead cancer researcher at Scripps Florida\n\nDr. Jack Harris   Paleo Archeologist\n\nFrank Cerabino   Palm Beach Post Columnist\n\nHarvey Oyer   Author\n\nLeslie Gray Streeter   Palm Beach Post Columnist\n\n \n\nDiane Bernstein of West Palm Beach and Beverly Myers of Palm Beach are co-chairing the event.\n\n \n\nThe West Palm Beach Library Foundation\, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is independent from the City of West Palm Beach\, was formed to support the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach.
