DESCRIPTION:Join Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Gregory School of Pharmacy and the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists as they host “Prescription for Health!” an event to assist and educate the community 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday\, October 2. Pharmacist and healthcare providers will provide a variety of free services\, including consultations and screenings. The free event willbe held at CityPlace in downtown West Palm Beach. \n     \nThe event is supported by a grant from the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation (NACDS Foundation).\n\nHealth screenings include blood pressure\, glucose measurements and cholesterol screenings. Guests also will receive information on women’s health\, heartburn\, poison prevention\, immunizations and osteoporosis. Consultationsfor asthma/COPD and herbal medicines will be available. Guests are encouraged to bring their current medications for pharmacist consultations. Pharmacists also will assist with proper disposal of expired medications on site.\n\nThe event is a prime opportunity to obtain a seasonal flu shot. Immunizations will be conducted by CVS pharmacists for a charge of $25. \n     \nPalm Beach Atlantic University is a private\, independent university offering undergraduate\, graduate and professional degrees\,with campuses in West Palm Beach\, Orlando and Wellington.
