DESCRIPTION:Set in the Brighton Beach section of Brooklyn\, New York in September 1937\, this coming-of-age comedy focuses on Eugene Morris Jerome\, a Polish-Jewish American teenager who experiences puberty\, sexual awakening\, and a search for identity as he tries to deal with his family\, including his older brother Stanley\, his parents Kate and Jack\, and Kate's sister Blanche and her two daughters\, Nora and Laurie\, who come to live there after their father's death.\n\n	The King Library is proud to present another summer of play readings. Please join us for a wonderful time reading the hilarious plays of Neil Simon in a relaxed\, creative atmosphere.\n\n	\n\n	We are very excited to have Mrs. Jan-Marie Cook back as our facilitator for a second time. Mrs. Cook has a degree in theatre arts from Florida Atlantic\, is the drama teacher at Palm Beach Day Academy and a published playwright.\n\n	\n\n	No reservations are necessary\, and no preparation is needed. Scripts from selected scenes will be provided. Whether you are an accomplished actor or simply enjoy the humor of Neil Simon\, there is a part for all.
