DESCRIPTION:The Children's Healing Institute proudly hosts the Turn on the Light National Conference on the Wellbeing of Children and Families. Now in its 16th year\, the conference brings over 400 parents\, professionals and child advocates together for a day of learning\, sharing\, and networking- all for the healthy\, safe and bright futures of children. \n\nThe full-day symposium offers an impressive array of educational workshops as well as resource booths and a nationally known keynote luncheon speaker. This year we will feature Keynote Christina Meredith survivor of sexual\, mental and emotional abuse. She went from aging out of foster care\, poverty and homelessness to forging a life committed to helping others. Through strong faith and hard work\, she went on to become Miss California\, enroll in college\, found her own nonprofit foundation\, and pursue the path to becoming a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army.
