Sarah is the recipient of two ATHENA Awards: the ATHENA Young Professionals Award in 2010 and the ATHENA Leadership Award in 2019.  Over 7\,000 Athena Awards have been presented nationally and globally since the inception of ATHENA International in 1989.  In the history of the ATHENA Awards\, Sarah is the first documented recipient to receive both the Young Professionals and the Leadership  Awards.   We at the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches are proud to say that she is one of our own!\n\n \n\nAbout our PANEL SPEAKERS:\n\n2020 ATHENA Leadership Award Recipient\;  Ms. KALINTHIA Dillard\,  Esq.\, General Counsel/Deputy Inspector General to the Palm Beach County Office of Inspector General. \n\n Kalinthia has practiced law since 1998. After graduating from Clemson University and FSU College of Law\, she moved to PBC to clerk at the 4th DCA. Thereafter\, she practiced civil litigation at law firms. Currently\, she serves as the first female General Counsel/Deputy Inspector General to the PBC Office of Inspector General.\n\nMs. Dillard balances time between her profession\, volunteering\, and enjoying life with her husband and daughter. She is serving her third term as President of the YWCA of PBC and second term on the Board of the Forum Club. She was the youngest president of the Cunningham Bar Association and is a Past President of the WPB Chapter of The Links and the Virgil Hawkins-Florida Chapter National Bar.  She was Chair of The Florida Bar?s Law Related Education\, Education Law\, and Grievance Committees. She is a Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and graduate of Leadership PBC. \n\n\n\n2020 ATHENA Organizational Award Recipient\; Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast with Claudia Kirk Barto\, President\n\nJunior Achievement has been serving students in our community for 40 years. They provide impactful and engaging programs for students around Financial Literacy\, Work Readiness\, and Entrepreneurship pathways\, for students starting in Kindergarten with programs available for them all the way through to their twelfth grade. Traditionally\, their programs have been volunteer-led\, hands-on\, with in classroom school-based delivery. Now\, they have had to reimagine their programming to provide remote learning platforms\, due to COVID-19 transitioning to using Google Classrooms. Their mission remains strong\; ?to empower young people to own their economic success? serving over  700\,000 students  with the goal to reach out to 40\,000 more this year with their new virtual programs!\n\n\n\n2020 ATHENA Young Professional Award Recipient\; Ali Soule\, Chief of Staff\,  Brightline\n\nIn 2012\, Ali joined Brightline and for nearly seven years\, she was responsible for leading and developing the strategy for the government\, media and community relations efforts for the design\, construction\, launch and operations of the multi-billion-dollar transportation and real estate project. She was also responsible for overseeing the company?s safety outreach program and corporate social responsibility efforts. Ali was recently promoted to chief of staff and continues leading Brightline?s public affairs and advocacy initiatives. She is a Florida native\, UF graduate and graduate of Leadership West Palm Beach and Leadership Florida Connect. She holds leadership roles in numerous volunteer organizations and was awarded the 2019 PR Star of the Year from the Gold Coast Public Relations Council. \n\n\n\nThe ATHENA Intenational Leadership Award celebrates exemplary leadership and is reflective of a quote by Plato\; ?What is honored in a country will be cultivated there?.
