Description
Oxbridge Academy will host an evening of jazz featuring the sensational sounds of some of the best contemporary jazz musicians in the country, including Ron Blake, Bobby Broom, Xavier Davis, Ugonna Okegwo, and Dion Parsons. The single show marks the culmination of a school-wide project, called ?Breaking With Tradition: The Dynamic of Change from 1900-1950,? that examines major shifts in culture, notable individuals who defied traditions to move society forward, and ways students can make a positive change in the community. The special jazz concert is an exhibition of a musical style that could not exist without a willingness to change.
