Description

Learn about our adult education program and sample one of our special events at our Adult Education Open House. During the Holocaust, most diplomats followed their countries’ immigration laws strictly. In spite of the massive numbers of refugees who sought safe haven to escape persecution, deportation, slave labor, or death from the Nazis or their collaborating allies, few diplomats granted life-saving visas. This presentation focuses on those unsung heroes who took a stand and gave visas thereby, saving the lives of thousands of desperate people.

Speaker: Arthur Berger is the Senior Advisor International Programs. Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
