Dressing for Confidence: Using Personal Style as a Tool for Professional Presence
Session Description
What we wear shapes how we show up. In the first 15 seconds — before we even begin to speak — our appearance communicates who we are and influences how others perceive us.
In this interactive Lunch & Learn, personal stylist and fashion speaker Jane Shopen will explore how intentional dressing can strengthen confidence, communication and professional presence.
Through practical examples and real-world strategies, attendees will learn how to align their wardrobe with their goals, elevate their everyday image and use style as a tool to support leadership and credibility in the workplace.
Jane Shopen is a personal stylist, fashion journalist and speaker specializing in the connection between style, confidence and personal presence.
She began her career assisting an established celebrity stylist, gaining hands-on experience working with high-profile clients, wardrobe development and the fast-paced demands of the fashion industry. This early foundation shaped her refined, detail-oriented and highly personalized approach to styling.
Today, Jane works with professionals, entrepreneurs and creatives to build wardrobes that reflect their identity and support how they show up in their careers and daily lives. Her approach goes beyond clothing, focusing on how intentional styling can influence confidence, communication and leadership.
In addition to her styling work, Jane writes and speaks about fashion culture, breaks down runway shows from a stylist’s perspective and explores the psychology of style — translating fashion industry insights into practical strategies women can use in everyday professional life. She is also the creator and host of curated fashion experiences and educational events that bring together professionals, creatives and fashion enthusiasts across South Florida.
