Out of State Police Officer

Job Summary
Under limited supervision, performs general and specialized law enforcement duties involving the enforcement of federal, state, and local laws and ordinances. Responsibilities include protecting life and property; detecting and arresting violators; conducting crime prevention activities; providing community services; and working specialized assignments as needed. Performs related duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Enforces laws and ordinances through patrol, investigation, and proactive policing
• Responds to calls for service, emergencies, and community concerns
• Detects criminal activity and apprehends suspects
• Conducts preliminary and follow-up investigations
• Prepares reports, documentation, and case files
• Participates in crime prevention, community engagement, and public safety initiatives
• May be assigned to specialized units or functions based on department needs and qualifications

Salary

$75,921.30 – $87,888.39 annually (Step 1–4)
Hiring step will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
